Spotify blank screen when automatically opening

Hi everyone,

Absolutely loving automagic! I've only started using it on a basic level so far, and it's great (automatic silent mode at night, auto start music when connecting bluetooth etc), but i have one minor issue I'm not sure if anyone could help me with...

i have a basic proces set up so that when I plug in headphones, spotify automatically opens. Most of the time, it works fine. But occasionally, the spotify screen just appears as a blank white screen (no playlists, menus etc). I have to close spotify,m then go back in and all is well again.

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. The phone is a galaxy S4 on stock android 4.2.2.

Hi,

Your flow uses two actions to start Spotify almost at the time. Perhaps Spotify has a problem when it is invoked two times rapidly.
Please remove one of the launch-actions and see if this helps.

Many thanks for your reply. I have removed one of the actions now from the flow, so I'll see if that helps (so far, so good, not seen a blank screen today when spotify opens).

So again today, I had a problem where Spotify opened to a blank white page. Here is my latest process file, just to check it looks OK

Searching for this problem on Google turned up that the Spotify app is known to occasionally have such white-screen problems.
There's probably not much Automagic can do to fix this. One of the workarounds seems to kill the Spotify app to ensure that all background tasks of Spotify are terminated before it is launched again.
