I use a small tasker plugin called "Movement Detection" from the Play Store. It fires a trigger when it detects that your move in a car and seems to work fairly reliable.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... _detection
Only downside is that you have to buy the plugin for a few cents. I would love to see the functionality implemented in Automagic since Google provides an API for this functionality.

There's already a trigger Speed available in Automagic (requires GPS).
The next version of Automagic will also introduce a new trigger User Activity (Experimental) that detects when you are driving in a car.

Is anyone using the User Activity trigger yet in any of their flows? This would be awesome to have BT turn on automatically when in the car and off when you stop.

User activity trigger fires up when you unlock your phone. The name refers to when you start using yourpphone. Not to your state of activity.

That's not quite right, actually. "User Activity (Experimental)" refers to your activity--whether you're biking, walking, or driving. "User Present" triggers when you start using your phone.
