The log looks perfectly fine to me. I will try to implement a workaround in the next version, maybe Automagic gets a proper image when it waits some more time.
The next EAP-version should contain the workaround. It would be great if you could temporarily switch to the EAP version and test if the workaround helps on your device.

Sure thing, thanks a lot! I'll download the EAP when I'm home later today. Are you on 4.4.2 or a later version? I didn't want to upgrade anymore because I've modified my system quite a lot, but maybe this is one of the minor bugs addressed in the upgrade...

The workaround is not implemented yet, I hope to release an EAP-build later today or tomorrow.
I'm on 4.4.4 now but the action also worked on 4.4.2 on my device so I'm not positive that an update to 4.4.4 will help.

I have made a special EAP-version containing the workaround attempt since the workaround slows down the flows and I want to check if the workaround is effective at all.
Please read this post before installing the APK:

Most importantly create a backup of the flows/widgets before installing the EAP-version in case you want to switch back to the regular version available on Google Play which does not support the new actions.

Wow, thank you very much for putting all this effort into it! The version seems to be running fine, I'm getting a picture now in both manual mode and triggered by the failed login.
Does the workaround slow down *all* flows or just all associated with the 'take photo' action? In the latter case, maybe you could simply duplicate the action into one without delay and a second with delay?

Thanks for the log. It seems like the on your device takes about 1 more second to produce valid pictures.
The temporary workaround only slows down action Take Picture. Since this slowdown is not desirable on other devices I will add a new setting to the action called 'Additional wait time to fix black pictures' or something like that which will allow to configure the duration manually. Maybe there are some other devices out there that need even more time to produce valid pictures.
