hibernating applications with Greenify

Post by govoni » 02 Sep 2013 00:49

You need Greenify installed and configured the apps that will be hibernated on your smartphone. Made it just install the flow. It is activated every time your screen turns off, when this happens it waits 20 seconds and then will ask the Greenify hibernate applications. The 20 seconds used to if you are watching a video and the screen turns off, not to close the video.

Isn't this already how Greenify works automatically? What does this flow do in addition to the normal operation of that app? I don't understand the need for it.

Yes the Greenify already do this, but it's randomic and some apps doesn't will hibernate automaticaly . With this flow, you will have sure the every app selected in the Greenify will hibernate every time you screen be more than 20 seconds off.

Be sure you did not selected any application you want to run in the background.

Nice idea Govani. But the below logic is built in the Greenify app itself.

I am new to Automagic. So pardon my ignorance if my question/reply looks silly

I don't use the automatic hibernation in greenify, but I trigger hibernation every hour when I'm not using audio media or calling. I found it helpful to save some battery.
