backup = flows have been modified outside automagic?

storage/sdcard0/automagic backups/flows_widgets{triggertime,dateformat,MM-dd-yyyy_HHmm}.xml

In fact, it's using this :

Export flow/widgets : "/" to /storage/sdcard0/automagic backups/flows_widgets{triggertime,dateformat,MM-dd-yyyy_HHmm}.xml

every 8 hours. dropsync then sees a file change, and uploads the file to my dropbox, and deletes the original on the phone (as i told it to)

Ahh, I see, then it's not a problem of the backup flow since an entirely different file is used.

Could you please do the following procedure. I would like to see how the flow files are different after a reboot. Maybe this will help me understand what's going on:
-send the log again to me including the flows so I have an up to date copy
-menu->Manage->Stop Service
-restart the device
-send a copy of /storage/sdcard0/Automagic/flows.xml to me before you start Automagic again
-start Automagic to see if Automagic detected a difference this time

sent both, and when i hit start service it did not tell me there was a file issue.

Unfortunately there's nothing I can see when the problem did not occur this time. I'm a bit at a loss.

When Automagic reports the modification problem the next time, could you please let the dialog open but switch to a file manager and send the flows.xml to me.

it does it on every reboot if automagic is running..

I have changed the logging in the next update which should be released today. Would be great if you can send the log one more time after you have received the update and rebooted the device.
