Any suggestion on how to "notifiy" my tablet?

How do you access the text of the pushbullet plugin trigger? The plugin doesn't save it as a variable, that I can see.

I think it automatically pastes it onto the clipboard?

I might be wrong as, to be honest, when the push bullet notification pops up any video playing in MX Player pauses for a few seconds anyway (which is perfect)

That's horrible. It might be great if all you want are notifications, but I'm looking for cross-device variable sharing. I'd rather it not notify me and interrupt what I'm doing just because two devices are communicating. I'd also rather it not erase what ever I've put in the clipboard myself.
