Set Lock Pattern to off doesn't work on LG

Post by fede91it » 12 Aug 2014 14:25

Hi, with my new LG G2 there are some other pattern modalities to unlock my device.
The default on LG G2 is now the Knock Code.

Can you enable Automagic to support to the pattern removal of this modality?

Hi,

It's unlikely that I can support such manufacturer specific device lock methods in the near future since working with the lock screen often requires unofficial APIs or even a rooted device.
Perhaps you could use action Set Keyguard State: Off to temporarily disable the lock screen and turn it back on with Set Keyguard State: On at a later time. Please note that this action does not work properly on many versions on Android so the lock screen is not disabled on some devices or suddenly reactivates when the notification area is expanded.

Regards,
Martin

I understand Martin, thanks for the explanation!
Now I have tryed to use Set Keyguard Off and yes, yesterday it worked but today (after phone restart) also if the condition is respected with a true result (I search if the phone is near a WiFi with specific SSID) and Keyguard Off state enters succesfully, the lockscreen remains active.

Note: I switched to the standard pattern security, no Knock Code or others devilments

Often when Android "forgets" that the lock screen is off, it helps to execute an action Set Keyguard State: On to clear the current state and then using an action Set Keyguard State: Off to turn the lockscreen off again. Does this work on your device?
I also heared rumors that the action works more reliable when the screen is turned on before the keyguard is turned off (action Turn Screen On, Sleep: 1s then Set Keyguard State: Off). But this might not be desirable when this happens when the phone is in your pocket.
