Problem with GSM cells to be ignored

Post by Shield » 02 Aug 2015 09:50

Hello,

since a few weeks I'm running a flow triggered by 'Phone cell GSM' which connects my phone to my WLAN for 5 minutes when I'm coming home, followed by another minute every half an hour.

The flow is triggered by the following cells the phone is connected to most of the time when I'm at home: 12402, 17410, 17411
There are two other cells in the surrounding area that occasionally interfere. I added them to the ignore list as they would trigger the flow too soon: 36592, 36596

There's a second flow which stops the first one when I'm leaving home. It uses exactly the same cells as stated above, but is set to 'disconnected' instead.
Both flows are set to 'Skip execution when an instance is already running'.

Now, this is what happened yesterday evening (probably not for the first time) while watching TV:
01.08.2015 18:34:40.107 [Leaving home] Starting to execute flow 'Leaving home' with Context{global{global_previousBatteryLevel=92},local{disconnected=true,trigger=Disconnected to CIDs 12402,17410,17411,psc=-1,last_lac=5954,last_cid=17410,connected=false,flow_name=Leaving home,triggertime=1438446880086,last_psc=-1,cid=36596,lac=5954}}
01.08.2015 18:34:40.110 [Leaving home] Start executing action 'Stop flows: At home'
01.08.2015 18:34:40.170 [Leaving home] End executing action 'Stop flow: At home'
01.08.2015 18:34:40.174 [Leaving home] Flow ended.
So the interfering 36596 did not became ignored. Note that the flow 'At home' didn't restart either, I had to launch it manually in the morning, despite the fact that the phone was connected to 17410...?!

Any ideas about this?

Hi,

Did you enable the ignore list in both triggers and also filled in the same ignore list in both or are you using the same trigger with both connected and disconnected checked?
If yes, could you please enable Debug Log in the preferences of Automagic, wait until the problem occurs the next time and post the log or send the log to info@automagic4android.com?
When the debug log is enabled Automagic should print for each cell change whether it was found in the ignore list or not.

Regards,
Martin

Hi Martin,

yes, the ignore lists are identical and enabled. As I decided for two seperate flows they use dedicated triggers, one with 'Connected' checked, the other with 'Disconnected'.

I have enabled the debug log now and added a speech output in order to get notified, so let's wait and see.... until then, thank you for your response, and for giving us this fine product, Martin. Like so many other people I used Llama for a couple of years prior to Automagic. Although it's very easy to use, Llama is not suitable for complex tasks wich involve numerous condiitions and alternating dependencies. With its flow-chart concept Automagic turns such a challenge into a no-brainer. My tablet auto-recharges now thanks to a switchable bluetooth socket controlled by Automagic... if this isn't great, what is?? :)

oops, it happened again... :geek:

you got mail

WAIT - think I discovered something: due to the keyboards auto-format the ignore lists contain spaces behind the commas... may this causes the problem? However, in case it does, it shouldn't... :o

Thanks for the mail and logs!

I think the spaces in the list really cause the problem
This should be fixed in the next EAP build.

Martin
