Android Wear

Post by pnop » 29 Aug 2015 09:55

Please help me, it must be something I am missing: I created several flows with the trigger shortcut for Android Wear but none appears on my Sony Smartwatch 3 - only the message "Please create a flow...". I have already reset both phone (Note 4) and watch with no results.

Hi,

Is the watch properly paired to the phone so that Automagic can execute actions on the watch, for example does action Vibrate (Android Wear) let the watch vibrate? Did you enable the flow containing the shortcut trigger on the phone?

Martin

Hi, Martin, thank you.
Yes, everything is paired and other apps immediately synchronise with watch, but not Automagic. All flows I need are enabled and the vibration example you mentioned logs "Connection to peer failed".

It sounds like Google Play services does not allow Automagic to connect to the watch at all for some reason. Did you try to uninstall and reinstall Automagic?
Are you using the official version of Automagic from Google Play or a sideloaded version from the web? Are you using some kind of security tools or ROM modifications that could prevent Automagic from connecting to the watch?

Yes, using eap version. Backed up all flows, uninstalled and reinstalled and... it works now, thank you!
On a side note, could you implement a "save all flows at once" solution?, every time I back up I have to tick tenths...
Thank you, cheers.

Great, I'm glad it's working now.
A option to select all flows is on my todo-list. You can backup all flows with action Export Flows/Widgets: * and mail the flows as an attachment or save the file on Dropbox/Google Drive.

I have the same problem.
I have Xperia Z3, with Android 6.0.1 and smartband Sony SWR10. I try enabled vibration and get error "Connection to peer failed".
I uninstalled and reinstalled Automagic apps, smartband aps, paired many times and... it not works.
Everything is paired and other apps immediately synchronise with smartband, but not Automagic.
Please help me, it must be something I am missing.

Marisz

Hi,

Check if the app on the wear device was installed properly by scrolling through the list of apps on your wear device. One of the items should be called "Shortcuts" and should show the blue Automagic icon. Maybe you have to click the app once to confirm the permissions, otherwise the app might not be installed on your wear device properly.

Martin

It seems that all configuration settings are ok. :-(
